Mindbender's Ambition will drop from the Nightfall pool. Unlike its previous source, it's not specific to any Nightfall. Instead, Mindbender's Ambition has a chance of dropping from any Nightfall completions whenever it is the rotating weapon.

You can only get Mindbender's Ambition from one place, that's the Hollowed Lair Nightfall. That means it's not always available to farm and you have to wait for it on the Nightfall rotation.
